Trolls composer Christophe Beck took home top honors in the film music category at the annual SESAC Film & Television Composers’ Awards, which was highlighted by a moving speech by music attorney Jay Cooper, a partner of Greenberg Traurig, who received the performing rights organization’s Visionary Award.

The annual awards gala, held at the Casa del Mar in Santa Monica, May 31, honored music composers in the categories of film, network television, local television, cable television, advertising and streaming media.

In all, more than 60 television composers took home awards, recognizing the compositions to some of the industry’s most highly-rated shows to include Grey’s Anatomy, The Late, Late Show with James Corden, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, Golf on CBS, How I Met Your Mother, and 2 Broke Girls to name only a few.

Cooper, a strong advocate for creative rights, recognizes the importance of intellectual property of the creative community and, for many years, has made immeasurable contributions to the creative arts.
