Corden Gives Apple a Bite

James Corden provided some comedic bite to the ad campaign for Apple Music in a spot that saw him spoofing stars including David Bowie, Pharrel, Slash and the Spice Girls. The commercial premiered during the 68th Annual Emmy Awards on Sept. 18.

The creative was in support of the fact that Apple Music now has 40 million songs and “thousands of hand-picked playlists based on the music you love.”

Corden’s outlandish ideas seem to leave a conference room of executives — Beats Co-Founder Jimmy Iovine, Apple Internet Software and Services guru Eddy Cue and Apple Music/iTunes Head of Global Marketing Bozoma “Boz” Saint John — bemused, but not buyin’ it.

Usher puts in a cameo. Corden, who at one point dons a suit and dives into water, makes an unwitting case for why he’d actually make an interesting casting choice for James Bond.

The spot was created by Translation and Fulwell73.
