Amy Schumer is nominated for the song “Girl You Don’t Need Makeup.”

The 6th Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards announced its nominees, with winners to be revealed at the Henry Fonda Theater on Nov. 11. The yearly event celebrates music in film, TV, videogames, commercials and trailers. Organizers tout it as prognosticator for winners in the music categories at the Golden Globe and Academy Awards competitions.

From Amy Schumer to Brian Wilson — with Danny Elfman and Patrick Doyle inbetween, the awards recognize an abundance of talent from diverse quarters, in 20 categories.

The HMMA organization culls its contenders via a selection committee that includes journalists, music execs, songwriters and composers as well as members of its advisory board. Winners are chosen by select members of the Society of Composers and Lyricists, the Television Academy, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Music Branch, NARAS, performing rights organizations, film music journalists and music executives.
